ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue Version 1.11.25 Released: A Leap Forward into AI-Powered Development and Content Creation

HOUSTON, Texas – August 1, 2025 – ThreatGEN unveils version 1.11.25 of ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue. While seemingly a minor update in terms of feature improvement, this release marks a monumental strategic step, formally ushering in a new, AI-powered chapter in the game’s development and content creation.

A Transformative Shift Towards AI-Driven Efficiency

This update, with its sole changelog entry of “changed the Research Persistence action to take 2 turns instead of 4” signifies a profound shift in ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue’s development methodology. We’re now leveraging the same cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies significantly accelerating the progress of AutoTableTop™ (version 2.0 currently in BETA with provisional release date of September 1, 2025). This LLM-assisted process dramatically speeds up development, enabling our team, including Head of Support Grzegorz “Greg” Piekarski, to develop application features and additions efficiently.

While this update might seem like a small step for ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue in terms of new features, it represents a significant leap forward for its development process,” said Grzegorz ‘Greg’ Piekarski, Head of Support at ThreatGEN. “By adopting an LLM-assisted approach, we’re not only speeding up our development cycles but also laying the groundwork for more consistent, impactful updates and the ability to generate richer content, all while maintaining our commitment to ethical AI practices and human oversight.

We want to assure our community that this integration of AI is being carried out with a high ethical standard – particularly in terms of employment practices. No personnel have been fired, nor have any salaries been reduced as a result of this technological shift. Furthermore, this process will not be fully AI autonomous; Greg will continue to play a crucial role, diligently reviewing and testing all changes to ensure quality and integrity.

Enhanced Content Creation

This new AI-powered approach also extends to content creation. We can now more efficiently develop rich content based on or around ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue and AutoTableTop™ scenarios, including blog posts, presentations, and more. Our team’s existing expertise, as demonstrated by scenarios like the Colonial Pipeline incident developed for AutoTableTop™, will be augmented by LLM capabilities.

Next Steps for ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue Development: Integrated Functionality and Streamlined Processes

As part of this critical transition, our immediate focus for ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue development will involve integrating the user and organization functionality being introduced in the AutoTableTop™ version 2.0 platform. We’re also embarking on a total overhaul of the purchase and renewal process for both AutoTableTop™ and ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue, aiming for a more seamless and intuitive experience. Once this migration is complete, we will begin developing exciting new features, including the highly anticipated Challenges feature, which will offer new dimensions to the game.

ThreatGEN is incredibly enthusiastic about the future of ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue and the continued innovation driven by ethical AI integration. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone following the development of ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue and AutoTableTop™ and look forward to sharing more groundbreaking advancements.
