Sugar Land, Texas (October 25, 2021) – ThreatGEN is pleased to announce that our ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue cybersecurity gamification platform will be integrated into the upcoming SecurityWeek OT/ICS Cybersecurity & Incident Response Workshop at the October 28, 2021 SecurityWeek 2021 ICS Cyber Security Conference. The workshop will run from 9 AM to 5 PM EST on October 28, 2021.
SecurityWeek OT/ICS Cybersecurity & Incident Response Workshop
“The SecurityWeek OT/ICS Cybersecurity & Incident Response Workshop starts at the cybersecurity program level and helps students understand cybersecurity concepts, controls, and overall cyber risk management strategy. It introduces beginner to intermediate topics such as OT/ICS vulnerabilities, “hacker” methodologies, security controls, and incident response (IR) at a comfortable and easy to follow pace. These topics are then exercised and reinforced against an active adversary, IR tabletop exercise style, using the ThreatGEN Red vs. Blue cybersecurity gamification platform.“
For those attending the SecurityWeek OT/ICS Cybersecurity & Incident Response Workshop, ThreatGEN will be providing a time limited (31 day) version of our Professional Edition hosted cybersecurity gamification platform ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue.
About Security Week
SecurityWeek’s Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Cyber Security Conference is the largest and longest-running event series focused on industrial cybersecurity. Since 2002, the conference has gathered ICS cyber security stakeholders across various industries and attracts operations and control engineers, IT, government, vendors and academics.
Over the years, the focus of the conference has shifted from raising awareness towards sharing security event histories and discussing solutions and protection strategies.
The conference series now includes two editions, the flagship U.S. Event which takes place each October, and a Singapore/APAC event which takes place each April.
As the original cybersecurity conference for the industrial control systems sector, the events cater to the energy, utility, chemical, transportation, manufacturing, and other industrial and critical infrastructure organizations.
Our events address the myriad cyber threats facing operators of ICS around the world, and will address topics covering ICSs, including protection for SCADA systems, plant control systems, engineering workstations, substation equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other field control system devices.
The majority of conference attendees are control systems users, working as control engineers, cybersecurity professionals, in operations management or in IT. Industries represented include defense, power generation, transmission and distribution, water utilities, chemicals, oil and gas, pipelines, transportation, data centers, medical devices etc. Other attendees work for control systems vendors, security products and services companies, associations, universities and various branches of the US and foreign governments.
The number of attendees is capped and there is ample time during breaks and social events to get to know and exchange ideas with the other participants.
